The margin stayed manageable through the first twenty minutes. Dominican Republic took the first quarter, 20-16, and matched Chile in the second, 22-20, reaching halftime with a six-point lead, 42-36. Chile lacked offensive continuity but still had room to push back.
The third quarter changed everything. Dominican Republic unleashed a 33-10 run that pushed the score to 75-46 and removed any doubt about the outcome. The fourth quarter stayed on their side as well, 26-20, sealing a 35-point victory.
Andrés Feliz was the game's top scorer with 17 points, three rebounds and three assists, hitting four of nine from three-point range. R.
