The Spain Women national basketball team held their final official event on home soil on Monday before travelling to the 2026 Germany World Cup. At a gathering organised by CaixaBank, a main sponsor of the FEB, the squad received the official jersey they will wear at the tournament.

Eleven players and the coaching staff at the farewell

The meeting brought together the coaching staff and eleven of the twelve players called up, along with Elisa Aguilar, president of the Spanish Basketball Federation. Gonzalo Gortázar, CEO of CaixaBank, personally accompanied the delegation and bid the team farewell with the new kit before their departure for the World Cup.

Back at the World Cup after eight years

Spain return to the FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup eight years after their last appearance. The tournament opens on Friday, 4 September in Berlin, where the national team will begin their campaign aiming to build a new competitive chapter on the international stage.
